About the technology
Natural microorganisms against pollution
Ydro Process® is based on a specially selected community of microorganisms that purposefully break down organic pollutants. The bacteria accelerate natural biological reactions, converting waste into safe by-products and significantly reducing sludge accumulation.
- Contain diverse strains of bacteria. These bacterial products are of natural, organic origin, contain no animal-derived by-products, are not genetically modified, and are environmentally clean mixtures of facultative bacteria
- The bacteria in the Ydro Process® mixtures produce their enzymes during metabolism, use the pollutants in wastewater as food, and ultimately convert them into biogases (e.g., CH₄ and CO₂), water, and a small percentage of inorganic compounds of iron, sulfur, etc., depending on the ORP conditions in the respective reactor
- There is no methane emission into the environment at the treatment plants, since we maintain an ORP level above -250 mV in all reactors except the anaerobic one
- During metabolism, the added bacteria use only 10–20% of acetic acid to produce new bacteria, while the remaining 80–90% is converted into gases. In conventional systems, particularly in aerated tanks, solids are quickly adsorbed by microorganism clusters and thus removed together with the excess sludge
